Front End Web Developer at Wethos

We’re looking for a self-starting and mission-oriented team player to join Wethos on our mission to curate the most qualified teams to do the most meaningful work.

You would be a key member of the Product Team, working closely with a Product Designer to implement key feature areas around joining, working on, and managing teams.

You should be a well-rounded web application developer with proven experience implementing sophisticated front ends based on detailed high fidelity designs using frameworks like Vue.js.

You will…

Interact with humans

• Collaborate with a small, remote, agile team
• Sync closely with a product designer to understand and implement designs, and resolve issues and gaps as they arise
• Collaborate with the rest of the development team to maintain a consistent look and feel, as well as an organized and well documented code base
• Work with the Director of Product to understand the vision and business goals of the platform
• Empathize and engage with platform users to understand and respond to their issues and needs

Build cool stuff

• Build application interfaces in Vue.js
• Be conscientious about avoiding interface vulnerabilities like code injection
• Ensure interfaces are responsive across screen sizes and devices
• Organize, document, and manage your code so that the next developer we add to the team can jump right in
• Write and implement automated tests for your features

Hone your craft

• Demonstrate curiosity and continuous learning about tools and frameworks
• Recommend new technology or approaches to help us improve the application, ensure quality, or increase velocity
• Help us further the state of our art when it comes to maintainability, performance, and scale

You might have…

• Experience building SAAS platforms or marketplaces for small businesses
• An interest in remote work, collaboration, and the psychology around what makes a great team
• 3-5 years of experience in front end web development
• Experience with startups, agencies, and freelance work
• Strong communication skills and a desire to do good and do well
• An inclination to consistently learn and improve while being comfortable with many unknowns in order to carve out new and innovative paths
• A strong sense of self awareness and approach to collaboration
• An open ear for honest and constructive feedback

Salary

$70-$80K depending on experience, plus equity
