Summary:

The Quality Specialist/QA Editor applies their copyediting expertise, and general learning and development product knowledge to maintain and ensure adherence to Caveo’s quality standards. The Quality Specialist/QA Editor ensures Caveo learning’s quality assurance standards are clearly defined and upheld on all internal and client-facing materials. Assets may include but are not limited to instructor-led training, eLearning courses, sales proposals, contracts, presentations, blogs, webinars and more. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for maintaining and implementing quality assurance best practices and advocating for quality assurance excellence within Caveo operations. Stays abreast of quality assurance and copyediting industry standards

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review learning deliverables for Caveo’s clients, ensuring correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, functionality, clarity, and adherence to client style-guide specifications.
    • Deliverables include eLearning modules, PowerPoint presentations, instructor-led training, job aids, PDFs, and more.
    • Deliverables exist in various stages, from design document and storyboard to final product.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with reviews of SOWs, proposals, templates, and company blog entries.
  • Create and maintain internal style guides for clients.
  • Manage and prioritize quality assurance requests.
  • Provide guidance to Caveo team on issues of language and quality as needed.
  • Act as authorized purchaser of stock images for learning projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or Communications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Reader.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Understanding of different style guides and the ability to shift between them.
  • Self-starter who can work independently but still be comfortable collaborating with a team.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior experience in Learning and Development for a consulting service business.
  • Prior experience copy editing in a corporate environment.
  • Prior experience copy editing web and digital material.
