Manhattan-based tutoring agency is hiring someone experienced in teaching Latin to high school students for one-on-one tutoring.
We are seeking a responsible, organized contractor who has a passion for teaching and an affable personality. We are interested in a presentable, engaging, enthusiastic, and articulate individuals.
Our rate is among the highest of any agency anywhere for elementary, middle, and high school test prep, and we’re only looking for the elite person who is worth it! Our starting rate is $80 per hour ($70 for online tutoring) for those who have at least 3 years’ extensive experience in Latin education support, along with an amazing track record of success. A brief test will be administered as part of the interview process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
traveling to students’ homes throughout Manhattan and/or Brooklyn (not applicable for online tutoring).
providing instruction to students in a patient, compassionate manner with a consistently positive attitude.
providing parents with session reports
providing communication with The Tutorverse regarding students’ progress.
REQUIREMENTS
You must:
have at least three full years of post-grad Latin teaching experience
be available weekdays after school and/or weekends
be willing and able to commit to one full school year
have a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious college or university
have excellent references and pass a background check
